The Media Scholarship Commons (MSC) is located on the 3rd floor of Price Gilbert. It offers the campus community access to professional-level hardware and software for creating media-rich projects and research. The space features reservable video and audio recording studios with a control room, whisper booth, lightboard, and green screen technologies. Additionally, the MSC provides a reservable post-production editing room and a computing zone equipped with multimedia software, including the Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, and Pro Tools. Student experts staff the space and offer services and support for poster (wide-format) printing.

The Print Studio provides printing and computing support for all printers and computing zones in the Library. We are located on Price Gilbert 3rd Floor. The Print Studio also provides a walk-up poster printing service.
Posters must be submitted for printing at least 30 minutes before closing time for same-day service.

The Audio Recording Studio provides equipment for recording audio projects.
To use the Audio Recording Studio, follow these steps:

Step 2: Review and pass the linked quiz on the Multimedia Studio Policies
Step 3: Review and pass either or both of the following trainings and pass the linked quizzes
You cannot reserve the Audio Recording Studio without first taking and passing the policies *and* one or more of the video quizzes.
The Video Recording Studio provides professional-grade equipment for recording videos.
To use the Video Recording Studio, follow these steps:

Step 2: Review and pass the linked quiz on the Multimedia Studio Policies
Step 3: Review and pass either or both of the following trainings and pass the linked quizzes
You cannot reserve the Video Recording Studio without first taking and passing the policies *and* one or more of the video quizzes.
While either of these studios may be used independently, the Control Room (3287) enhances the capabilities of both spaces, allowing for additional recording, switching and broadcast capability through a 64-channel Allen and Heath Avantis digital mixer, Ross Carbonite Switcher, four 32” broadcast preview monitors, seating for six and wireless communication for production crew between spaces.
