Spotlight: Media Bridge & Interactive Media Zone

The Georgia Tech Library features two large-scale, digital art canvasses designed to showcase Tech’s culture of research, scholarship, and creativity.

Media Bridge is the digital screen spanning the area between Price Gilbert and Crosland Tower. It features a main "pool" and eight separate "stream" screens running up the outside of the bridge connecting the Library's main buildings. It can run standard video content or be used interactively using an attached camera for input to responsive, web-based content.

The Interactive Media Zone, or IMZ, features a 40-foot curved screen and 10 touch screens working in concert. It is located on Grove Level of Price Gilbert next to Sideways Cafe. It is fully interactive, including options for multiple periphery inputs and responsive, web-based content on the touch screens and a portion of the main screen. It can also always run standard video content.

Interested in working on the Media Bridge or Interactive Media Zone?

The Library would love to have your contribution so that you may share your project or achievement with people across campus. We want to know your research spotlights, and need photos, upcoming events, data and student work to keep content fresh on the Media Bridge and Interactive Media Zone.
