Code and Create: Intro to User Design in Python

Join the Georgia Tech Library in person Wednesday, Oct. 15 in Crosland Tower's Second Floor Classroom from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for our Code and Create: Intro to User Design in Python workshop.
Learn the fundamentals of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and data visualization through the lens of climate data. Participants will learn basic programming concepts in Python—including variables, data types, lists—while exploring how design choices shape user experience and understanding.
Using real-world climate datasets, students use popular data visualization libraries, Seaborn and Matplotlib, to create and customize visualizations in Python and examine how interface design and data presentation influence interpretation and decision-making. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own laptops, though computers will be available in the room.
Prior to the workshop please set up a free account on Google Colab here: https://colab.research.google.com/
Registration is required. There are 30 seats available.
