Library exhibit wins state museums award

The Georgia Association of Museums (GAM) announced in early January that the Georgia Tech Library’s “Fulton Bag and Cotton Mill: New South Industry” won its coveted 2024 Museum Exhibition Award.

The award will be presented during this year’s annual conference in Athens Jan. 17-19.

“This is a huge, well-deserved honor for our exhibitions team, said Library Dean Dr. Leslie Sharp. “They spent hours perfecting and installing each aspect of the exhibit, from the artifacts to the accompanying narrative and photographs.”

Featuring historic photographs, first-hand accounts, documents, and artifacts, Fulton Bag and Cotton Mill: New South Industry offers a unique opportunity to delve into the rich history and impact of the Mill.
