Research Administrator Appreciation
Research is core to the mission of Georgia Tech. In recognition of National Research Administrator Day, we at the Library extend our deep appreciation to Georgia Tech’s Research Administrators for their tireless efforts to expand scientific knowledge and propel technological discovery. We recognize the countless hours you all dedicate each and every day to ensure Georgia Tech’s best ideas become reality. Whether carefully navigating the minutiae of grant requirements or efficiently dispensing awards to campus researchers, even during a global pandemic, Tech’s amazing research administrators keep progress moving.
Exploring the "endless frontier" of scientific discovery requires coordinated effort from all corners of the Institute. We at the Library appreciate all the Research Administration staff do to ensure that a robust and cutting-edge research enterprise helps define Georgia Tech as a world class research Institute. We recognize the many spillovers from Georgia Tech R&D labs into industrial applications, innovations in teaching and learning, and, most significantly, improving the human condition.
Leslie Sharp, Dean of Libraries, sees the research administrators as critical to the mission of Georgia Tech and to the Library.
"These valuable members of the community played a key role in Georgia Tech’s crossing of the billion dollar mark in research expenditures for the second year in a row and have been vital to the training of students, making key discoveries, and expanding our global presence.
The Library thanks the research administrators who are the backbone of supporting Tech’s students and faculty in ‘Creating the Next’ in research and education."
The Library stands ready to support our research administrator colleagues in the spirit of "Progress and Service." Most of all, we want each and every one of you to know just how much your work means to us, to the Institute, and to society at large.
