Library hosts “Bubbling Up” Faculty Mixer Feb. 22
Join the Georgia Tech Library Wednesday, Feb. 22 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. for the first “Bubbling Up” faculty mixer, held in Price Gilbert’s fourth floor Faculty Research Zone. This month’s topic is aspects of physical, sensory and/or cognitive disability research.
All types of faculty and post docs from across campus and GTRI are welcome, as are faculty from other colleges and universities. To RSVP for this event so we can have an accurate count for food and beverages, click here.
All faculty and post docs who research, teach, or are interested in disability accommodation are welcome, said Library Dean Leslie Sharp.
“Our idea is to use our specialty spaces and central location to host events centered around a research theme, idea, or topic to provide an informal opportunity for faculty of all kinds to come together, meet each other, share ideas, and dream,” she said. “There will be no formal program, just a gathering of faculty interested in expanding their network, getting to know their colleagues across campus, collaborating in the research and academic space, and talking about what is exciting in their work."
Professor Stephen Sprigle of the schools of Industrial Design and Mechanical Engineering, Provost Steve McLaughlin, Executive Vice President for Research Chaouki Abdallah, and Vice Provost for Faculty Michelle Rinehart will join the Library in hosting the event.
