Marlee Dorn Givens
Marlee Dorn Givens is the Instruction Manager for Academic Engagement and subject librarian for Education, Literature, Media and Communication, Modern Languages, and Psychology. Marlee's responsibilities include developing, implementing, and managing instructional programs, ensuring consistency in instructional practices, monitoring the effectiveness of instruction services, and making data-driven recommendations for improvements in collaboration with the Head of Academic Engagement. Marlee first came to Georgia Tech in 2010 to lead the IMLS-funded Galileo Knowledge Repository (GKR). Prior to that, she managed the NEH-funded Preservation Services department at LYRASIS. She completed two certificates in learning design from the Association for Talent Development (ATD). She is the 2021 recipient of the Frances Kaiser Award from the Georgia Tech Library. She has an MLS from the University of Maryland, an MA from the University of Georgia, and a BA from Washington University in St. Louis.
