Join the curators and contributors to the Dataseum for a panel discussion on how we can showcase and share data from Georgia Tech with the public. This conversation will explore creative ways to advance the discussion and dissemination of science and scientific data beyond academic communities. Learn about their data projects—both those currently on display and others in development—and get inspired by their unique approaches. Connect with fellow data enthusiasts who are passionate about making science accessible to all.

About the Dataseum:

How much do you know about the data around you? Many datasets are collected and maintained by municipal and private agencies in and around the city of Atlanta, including Georgia Tech. These datasets are publicly available yet are rarely presented in a public-facing way.

The Dataseum is an interactive museum aiming to connect the public to scientific research through human-data interactions. This space displays publicly available data collected for research, policy, and scientific purposes to help you view sustainability in a new light.

How can you hear trends in the ocean, see what’s in the air, and navigate flora and fauna in the Atlanta area? What parts of these data sets represent you? Join us in celebrating the Dataseum!

Special thanks to the Georgia Tech Library, the College of Computing, The Price Gilbert, Jr. Charitable Fund, the TILES Lab, the Interdisciplinary Media Arts Center, the CS 7470: Mobile and Ubiquitous Computing Class, and the Gaming for Electrical Power Grids VIP class.

Get involved:

Are you working on a data project right now? Share a little about your work and we’ll highlight you on a slide during the program. https://gatech.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_1z7Ry8KDArSeMiW
