Meet the new Institutional Repository Librarian

In February the Library welcomed Institutional Repository Librarian Vanesa Evers to the team.
They will support the growth and visibility of the institutional repository (the electronic home of all Tech-produced scholarship) while advancing the Library's mission to preserve and promote the scholarly and creative work of our campus community.
Evers brings experience in: scholarly communication, publishing workshops and talks for both students and faculty members; open access and open education resource creation; online exhibits, scholarly and research repository management; and electronic theses and dissertation support. They will work closely with colleagues across the Institute to support faculty and student submissions and expand repository services.
The Georgia Tech Institutional Repository is a home for research and scholarship via theses, dissertations, conference papers, and faculty publications. As part of their new role, Evers will work to increase of visibility through open access to and better discovery tools for the existing repository. Additionally, they will focus on repository strategy, outreach, product ownership and collaboration.
