The Georgia Tech Library has several updates related to building repairs, construction, and technology upgrades.
Following a flood in Price Gilbert caused by a mechanical failure earlier this summer, repairs have been completed in the Faculty Research Zone and Green Computing Zone. The impacted Multimedia Studios have been treated and repaired; however, they remain closed while computer and software replacements are completed.
Several construction projects are underway outside Crosland Tower and Price Gilbert as part of Georgia Tech's micromobility infrastructure project. The work includes removing grass, installing slate landscaping and granite walls, and adding new bike racks.
The Library's Information Technology and Audiovisual teams have completed significant technology upgrades in Crosland Tower Room 7130. The room's audio and video systems have been upgraded to a native Microsoft Teams Rooms environment powered by a Logitech Rally Bar system. The upgrades provide a more streamlined user experience with simplified controls for meetings and presentations.
Room 7130 will be available for reservations through LibCal beginning Aug. 3.
