Library Faculty Updates: Fall 2026

The Georgia Tech Library has been awarded $195,245 from the Institute of Museum and Library Services to conduct a forum focused on academic library accessibility after the Title II implementation deadline. The forum will examine the topic through two complementary lenses: Internal Operations and Implementation, including workflows, governance, and responsible artificial intelligence-assisted remediation; and External Ecosystems and Accountability, including campus partnerships, vendor relations, and user-facing impacts. Georgia Tech will host the forum at the Library in May 2027. 

Project outcomes will include a 75-page Sustaining Compliance Playbook; an openly accessible collection in the Georgia Tech Digital Repository featuring recordings of presentations from the forum's first day; and a moderated community of practice listserv designed to support adoption and shared learning beyond the convening. Partner organizations will help identify experts, promote the forum, contribute editorial guidance to the playbook, and support the community of practice. Participating organizations include the Association of Southeastern Research Libraries, Clemson University, Emory University, Florida State University, Georgia State University, North Carolina State University, the University of California, Berkeley, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and Vanderbilt University.
