Who can reserve the rooms?
Current Georgia Tech faculty with a valid BuzzCard may reserve Library Teaching Studio consultation rooms & meeting room.
Will recurring reservations be allowed (ex. weekly meetings or working sessions)?
Due to the high volume of reservation requests, the Library Teaching Studio rooms can be reserved no more than two weeks in advance.
What types of activities are allowed in the Library Teaching Studio consultation rooms & meeting room?
The Library Teaching Studio rooms are only available for academic/scholarly activities. Ongoing office hours are not permitted in the Teaching Studio rooms.
Is there a time limit for reservations?
Not at this time, but excessive use of the space or abuse of policies could result in privileges being revoked
How far in advance can Library Teaching Studio consultation rooms & meeting room be reserved?
Library Teaching Studio rooms can be reserved no more than two weeks in advance.
How long does it take before my reservation is approved?
Reservations are approved immediately.
What happens when a faculty member cannot access the room for a reservation?
If the faculty member can’t access their room reservation, a member of the Public Services team may open the door. Contact them by visiting the Library Help page.
Who should be contacted if there are problems with the technology in Library Teaching Studio rooms?
For immediate AV assistance, email: mediasupport@library.gatech.edu (generally answered during business hours) or submit your request via the “Request Assistance” link on the website or QR code in the rooms, or call 404.385.5555.
Is food allowed in rooms?
Yes. The requesting party is responsible for the clean-up of the space by the ending time stated on the approved reservation. All trash must be removed from the room, and all surfaces wiped clean after use. Rooms must remain in their “as is” format. A small kitchen is available near the consultation rooms. If there are any spills or the room is not clean for any reason, please email: building@library.gatech.edu
