Clough Rooftop Garden

 The Garden is closed for events between Oct 1 & Mar 31 due to weather and darkness.

Clough Events:

  • Clough event spaces are available for academic or VIP functions only, as approved by the Event Manager and the Library Leadership team. 
  • External/non-GT hosted events are NOT permitted. 
  • A mandatory cleaning fee, payable to Georgia Tech Building Services, is required for all weekend events hosted in Clough Commons event spaces. 
  • Clough event space requests may take up to 2 weeks to process and approve. 
  • It is the responsibility of the Georgia Tech department reserving the space to ensure that all trash and equipment are removed from the space after an event. 
  • For free recycling bins, please visit the recycling services website
  • Tables, chairs, linens, AV, sound system, easels, catering, set-up, and breakdown are the responsibility of the renter. The Clough Commons does NOT provide these items or services. 
  • The Clough 1st floor atrium is NOT available for events Monday through Friday while class is in session. Exceptions can be made at the discretion of the Event Manager. 
  • Events utilizing Clough spaces must use a Georgia Tech-approved caterer. (Exception: Outside food totaling $300 or less may be purchased and brought in for events) See Campus Catering Policy for more details. 
  • Alcohol (beer and wine only) is permitted in select areas of the Clough Commons. All Clough events must be in accordance with the Campus Alcohol Policy. Permission to serve alcohol must be acquired by completing an Alcohol Prior Approval Request form. Because Clough Commons is a classroom building, areas where alcoholic beverages are consumed must be cordoned off. Individuals under the age of 21 may not enter the area where alcoholic beverages are being served OR consumed. 
  • Permission to play music at an event are dependent upon the day and time. Clough is a classroom building, and studying takes precedence. 
  • Décor, signage, banners, flyers or art installations may not be adhered to any building surface.   

Clough Rooftop Garden:  

  • A rain plan in a separate location is required for all roof garden events. 
  • The Clough roof garden is only open for events during the hours of 8am to 4pm. The Garden is closed for events between October 1st and March 31st due to weather and darkness.  
  • Gas or electric heaters are not permitted in any area of Clough Commons, including all of the outdoor spaces.
