The Library at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, invites applications for an early career professional to join the teaching team in the Academic Engagement department. Academic Engagement plays a vital role for the library and the institution in supporting the research and learning of Georgia Tech students, faculty, and staff. This position would report directly to the Instruction Manager of Academic Engagement. This position is responsible for providing library-based research support to the Georgia Tech community, especially students, faculty and staff in STEM disciplines. The position instructs the Georgia Tech community in information, multimedia, and/or data literacy skills. The Research and Instruction Librarian develops classes and workshops to adjust to a changing technological environment and creates asynchronous learning materials to reach users at their point of need.
This is a 12-month faculty position with an effort distribution of 80% librarianship, 10% scholarship, and 10% professional service to the library profession. Up to two (2) years credit for previous professional experience may be given at the time of employment, in which case such credit will be stated in the offer letter.
