Public Services Librarian (Librarian I) (Hybrid)

The Library at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia invites applications for a an innovative and experienced professional to lead the staff in the Public Services Department. The Public Services Librarian oversees a diverse and talented team (made up of 21 full-time professional staff members and 15 student assistants) who support and communicate library resources and services to customers and provide 24/7 in-person and virtual reference service, access service, and technology support. Public Services plays a vital role for the library and the institution in providing access to library resources in support of student success, instructional support, research, and other public interests using a progressive service model. This librarian supervises and works with department staff to implement the Library's strategic vision and guide the development and implementation of services and initiatives that respond to the evolving needs of students and faculty. This position will serve as the day-to-day and operational lead for the Public Services department with 10 direct reports, including supervision of a Public Services Manager with 11 direct reports. Position reports to the Assistant Dean for Interdisciplinary Initiatives. The Public Services Librarian must be committed to meeting the Georgia Tech community's unique need for innovative, cutting-edge, and collaborative solutions to its library and resource needs. Worksite location is Atlanta, GA and hybrid. 

This is a 12-month faculty position with an effort distribution of 80% librarianship, 10% scholarship, and 10% professional service to the library profession. Up to two (2) years credit for previous professional experience may be given at the time of employment, in which case such credit will be stated in the offer letter.

Intellectual Property (IP) Librarian (Librarian II or III) (Onsite)

Georgia Tech Library seeks a creative, analytical individual with strong commitment to engagement for the position of Intellectual Property (IP) Librarian. Reporting to the Head of Academic Engagement, this position contributes to and supports a culture of entrepreneurship and commercialization at Georgia Tech. This person provides IP programming and outreach for the patent, trademark, tangible property, and licensing needs of the Georgia Tech community. Individuals will plan and provide course-integrated instruction, workshops, asynchronous tutorials, and one-on-one consultations on intellectual property. This position also supports library and campus efforts in connecting to external organizations like the USPTO. The worksite location is Atlanta, GA, and onsite.

Institutional Repository Librarian (Librarian I, II, III, IV) (Hybrid)

The Library at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia invites applications for an innovative librarian who will manage and support institutional repository initiatives to preserve and sustain long-term access to Georgia Tech scholarship and research outputs in digital form. This position reports to the Head of the Archives, Records Management, and Digital Curation Department. The Librarian will participate in library-wide committees, activities, and working groups, and in meetings, workshops, and training, for continued professional development, to remain informed and engaged with relevant current trends.

This is a 12-month non-tenure track faculty position with an effort distribution of 80% librarianship, 10% scholarship and creative endeavors, and 10% professional service to the library profession. Up to two (2) years' credit for previous professional experience may be given at the time of employment, in which case such credit will be stated in the offer letter.

Library Systems Technologist (Librarian II, III, or IV) (Hybrid)

The Library at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia invites applications for a Systems Librarian to facilitate innovative and collaborative efforts to support the Georgia Tech Library's collection management, access, and discovery platforms. Partnering with library stakeholders and technologists, the Systems Librarian will serve as an administrator and main technical lead for the Library's collection management and discovery systems, primarily Ex Libris' Alma/Primo. Working both independently and collaboratively, lead projects and initiatives to improve workflows, implement integrations, assess Library tools, and find creative solutions to improve upon the management and discovery of library resources. This role has responsibility for maintaining optimal system performance for users and the development of services based on the functionality and capabilities of Alma and Primo. The Systems Librarian is expected to serve on internal and external committees and collaborate with partners across the state. This position will report to the Associate Dean for Research and Scholarly Access and work in close collaboration with Library Information Technology.  As a member of the University System of Georgia, the GT Library is committed to supporting the USG migration to FOLIO in 2025.  This position will work in close collaboration with colleagues across the USG in support of the migration. Worksite location is Atlanta, GA and hybrid.
