The Library faculty book delivery (LENDS) service is ended permanently on, Friday, Dec. 12. This means physical materials will no longer be delivered to faculty offices.
This decision is based on three factors:
- Overall declining numbers of requests for physical materials;
- The subsequent financial implications of operating physical delivery service; and
- Increasing availability of online material.
Returns of Delivered Material
Books requested before the shut off date of December 12 can be picked up at the Library’s INFODesk, located on Grove Level of Price Gilbert. They can be returned at book drops located across from INFODesk, the Grove Level of the Crosland Tower at the Bobby Dodd entrance, or the 3rd floor of the Clough Undergraduate Learning Center.
Proxy Service Available
Though delivery service has ended, faculty are allowed to use a proxy to check out physical materials on their behalf. This form details how the designated proxy will be able to pick up materials at INFODesk through the remainder of the fiscal year.
