Cynthia joined Georgia Tech as the Business & Entrepreneurship Librarian in January 2019. Cynthia is the project manager for the Library’s business intelligence research service that provides actionable business, IP, and market information in support of Georgia Tech’s inventors and entrepreneurial endeavors. A primary part of these ventures’ mission is to create revenue via the commercialization of Georgia Tech intellectual property and innovation. Cynthia also serves as the Library liaison to the Scheller College of Business, collaborating with the business faculty to support the instruction and research mission of the College.
Cynthia’s past work experience includes both academic/corporate librarianship and management consulting. As a consultant, she specialized in the business and technology aspects of intellectual property strategy and management in corporate IP legal departments and law firms. Her research subject area specializations are in business, competitive and market intelligence, and law. Cynthia holds masters’ degrees in business and in library & information science from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. She began her undergraduate education at the University of the Philippines.
