Each book is also listed individually in GIL, the library catalog.

    netLibrary provides access to over 15,000 electronic books (eBooks), both copyright-free and copyright-protected published materials, such as reference books, scholarly monographs, publications of many University Presses, and consumer books that have been converted into digital format. It is possible to perform full-text searches of a single eBook, search thousands of volumes simultaneously, browse topic categories, or read eBooks directly online. Other search options are available as well (subject, publisher, title, author, etc.). NOTE: Every individual user must create a personal user name and password in order to check out eBooks. Please read the information page accessible from the Galileo databases page. Distance Learning users must contact the Information Services Desk or your Subject Librarian to set up an account.

    With a focus on engineering and scientific references, the collection contains over 1,300 books. The references are deeply searchable with advanced field searching, allowing users to search across multiple sources to find specific data. Beck Educational Foundation to supplement its growing leisure collection. Currently, the library offers popular bestsellers, a science fiction collection, and growing DVD collection.

    Referex is a searchable database providing access to the full text of over 300 engineering books, including handbooks, reference books, academic or scholarly books, how-to-guides and titles focused on technique and practice, as well as specialized professional information. The collections cover the following areas in engineering: materials and mechanical; electronics and electrical; chemical, petrochemical and process; civil and environmental; computing; and, security and networking.
  • Safari Books Online
    Access limited to GT users
    A collection of technical e-books in computer science and information technology, including programming languages, operating systems, software applications, and much more from O'Reilly and Pearson Technology Associates. Also included are imprints from Cisco Press, Adobe Press and Sams. The Safari search engine lets users locate information by finding all occurences of the search terms. Searches provide relevancy-ranked results, hit-lists of book chapters containing the search terms, complete tables-of-contents and indexes for each book, color charts, graphs and other illustrative materials, and cut-and-paste code segments.
