Monday, June 28 President Angel Cabrera and Provost Steven McLaughlin helped place the first books back onto the shelves of the Georgia Tech Library.

The effort to bring physical collections back to the Library after the pandemic begins with the circulating science fiction collection, housed on the first floor of Crosland Tower in the Science Fiction Lounge.

Coming next is the popular reading collection, which will be shelved on the first floor of Price Gilbert. Core Collection – those titles picked by each school – will be last into the building for Fall 2021.

In total, the Library will hold more than 30,000 physical volumes, in addition to the more than 1.8 million titles in cold storage at the Library Service Center.
