Public Services

The Public Services department serves as the Library’s principal information gateway, responsible for providing access services, instruction and research support for library users.  The department manages the circulation of materials, course reserves,
and user accounts, and provides access to a variety of multimedia gadgets.  In addition, librarians and staff are responsible for reference services, both assisting with research, and facilitating referrals to appropriate individuals, departments, or organizations.  Instruction and campus outreach services also fall under the purview of Public Services.
